Bono east regional police commander DCOP MOSES ASABAGNA ATIBILA and his men have been giving criminals and miscreants in the Bono east region a very tough room to operate lately.
In less than 4 months that the regional commander took office major operations which have lead to the arrest of hardened criminals mainly on the kintampo tamale highway, the Fulani armed robbers bumper arrest, Techiman Central market arrest, nkoranza where some car snatchers were apprehended in a move to steal a car and the very huge one which they got a tip off where some black Smith who manufacture locally made weapons for criminal use at kintampo were swooped on.
Atinka news Bono east regional correspondents RONNEY GOGO caught up with him and came through with this report.
Ghana police service lead by Dr. DAMPARE have seen some new changes and this is reflecting on the grounds when you visit Bono east region.
Background
The new police commander who was posted into the region on 17th August 2021 have since assumption narrowed the gate of crime perpetuation and given a very tough time to criminals operating in the region some years ago. DCOP MOSES ASABAGNA ATIBILA have declared war on criminals in the region.
When Atinka News caught up with him at his office he said there is a very huge collaborations between his office and members of the media in the Bono east region and residents of the region.
He added that one thing that have lead to the huge success in pursuing criminals is the great and friendly rapport between him and his men in the region.
DCOP MOSES ASABAGNA ATIBILA continues that when police arrest criminals and they are sent to court it’s the duty of the court to either grant the person bail whiles investigations continue or keep the suspect in lawful custody whiles they continue with the investigation.
He adviced police officers not to give up easily when suspects that were presented to court with stinking evidence or caught in the act get bail when in their dockets they prayed the court to keep the suspects in custody.
He admitted that sometimes it really affects the performance of the police prosecutor handling the case but he prayed they master courage to go ahead and do their job professionally.
DCOP MOSES ASABAGNA ATIBILA lead a team to arrest black smith manufacturing weapons at kintampo over the weekend and he have vowed to deal with them to deter others from engaging in the business.
The suspects are currently in police custody and they will be arranged before court today. He assured traders and visitors who have plans to visit Bono east region to do so conveniently because the region is very calm and security is presently at its peak in the region…
