One person has been found dead in Atewa Forest in Abuakwa South municipality in the Eastern region after alleged violent clash between two illegal mining groups.
According to sources, there were exchange of gunshots leading to the death, others are believe to have sustained gunshot injuries.
The illegal miners fled after the deadly clash leaving the dead body in the bush.
Upon receipt of information, police went to the scene deep in the forest to retrieve the body to deposit at Kibi government Hospital morgue.
