ERRONEOUS NEWS REPORTAGE ON THE STATE OF SOME AMBULANCES AT THE SERVICE WORKSHOP IN KUMASI

The Secretariat for Special Development Initiatives has disputed that a number of government ambulances stationed at the Tafo Government Hospital had been abandoned.

The ambulances purchased as part of the 1-Constituency 1-Ambulance project have remained at the hospital for some time and have been extensively reported as vehicles that have been allowed to rot by local media, notably Silver FM.

However, according to a statement from the Special Development Initiatives Secretariat, each of the nine ambulances seen in the viral video has its own set of technical issues, including those that have been damaged in traffic accidents.

Napaga Tia Sulemana, the Coordinator for the Special Development Initiatives Secretariat, detailed the status of each of the seized ambulances, claiming that allegations of the ambulances being abandoned were false and deceptive.
