
Recounting the current close down of the sea in Ghana, Fishermen in Effutu has received support to ease their livelihood. The support from member of parliament for Effutu has donated bags of rice and cooking oil as closed season livelihood support. The presentation was done by the landing beach committee led by the Assembly member for the Eyioey Electoral area, Hon. Kofi Kum on behalf of MP for Effutu Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
This came as livelihood support for fishermen in Effutu, to enable them to observe the close season as they stay home without going for their day-to-day fishing expedition. The items include bags of rice and cartons of cooking oil, over 500 fishermen benefitted from this livelihood support. Fishermen at the Winneba main fishing harbor, Woarabeba, and Akosua village received these items respectively.
The fishermen showed gratitude to Hon. Afenyo-Markin and the government of Ghana H. E Nana Addo Danqua Akufo-Addo for supporting them.
