Ghanaian actor Socrate Safo is a director, filmmaker, and Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture in Ghana. He is a prominent figure in Ghallywood and head of Move Africa Productions.

The director for creative arts took to social media to expressed his concern on distribution of content (works) as to how they earn from their works as movie directors, actors and actresses.
He has this strong belief that the local system was better than what we see today and believe that this new system has help collapse the local industry. it is this quest for international distributions that has made us ignore and destroy our lucrative local market that was the backbone of our industry.

The international market has it’s dynamics that doesn’t make it sustainable and profitable he said.
“If you know your history Then you would know where you coming from…Then you wouldn’t have to ask me who the heck do I think I am” (Robet Nesta Marley).
I know what we did wrong to get us here so just listen.
Distribution is the bane of the Film Industry in Ghana. Please kindly Stop wasting our scanty resources and time on secondary matters we know already.

The director for creative art has challenge stakeholders to find out the problems, fix the problems and he believes the system will work, until then we will still be in a mess.
